In his dual role as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and SVP of Cyber Risk at The Beckage Firm, Kevin Johnson encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including creating and refining cybersecurity policies and practices while training staff to keep the organization up to date with data protection technologies, standards, and best practices.
In his role as Senior Vice President of Cyber Risk, Kevin focuses on enhancing client cybersecurity defenses through detailed security assessments, strategies, policies, and plans. He meticulously reviews the latest updates to regulatory bodies and standards, maintaining compliance with NIST, ISO, ITIL, SOX, NERC-CIP, CMMC, CCPA, GDPR, and other requirements, safeguarding both Firm and client data.
With almost two decades of experience, Kevin has been responsible for securing critical government and private sector systems by managing diverse teams in application development, infrastructure, and cyber security. He has extensive experience in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, security governance, risk management, compliance, auditing, and process development.
Kevin has led government and private sector organizations by developing and implementing security policies, programs, best practices, procedures, and standards from the ground up. He has been peer nominated as one of the top global CISOs and is a sought-after speaker.
