Contact UsThe Beckage Firm is a woman and veteran owned boutique tech, data security, and privacy law firm. We assist organizations of all sizes on data security and privacy compliance, contract negotiations, incident response, litigation, putative class actions, and regulatory investigations.

- Writing and editing data privacy policies, including website privacy policies, terms and conditions of use, ADA accessibility policies, TCPA, CAN SPAM and other statutory required policies and procedures
- Negotiating and editing contracts
- Experience with domestic and international privacy laws

- Negotiating and editing contracts
- Preparing and running tabletop exercises and training
- Experience with domestic and international data security laws, technology standards and practices

- Working with companies and advising on adopting new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence Technologies
- Fostering growth with data analytics, strategy, compliance measures, contract review, training, and education
- Identifying potential risks, upcoming legislation, and regulatory oversight

- Interfacing with clients and internal tech and legal teams to help clients stand back up and resume operations, prepare internal and external communications, and satisfy legal obligations
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including state breach notification laws, CCPA, HIPAA, international privacy/breach notification laws
- We are seeking part-time, ¾ time, and/or full-time
- Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups
- Writing press releases and other media communications
*Attorneys must be in good standing with their respective Bar, passionate about technology, have exceptional writing and communication skills, and stellar project management capabilities
We are seeking interns for the summer of 2024. Ideal candidates must be attending an ABA approved national or international law school, have excellent writing and communication skills. A passion for all things technology is not required but preferred.
