Juliana’s work at The Beckage Firm focuses on compliance and communication during data incidents. She prepares and facilitates the mailing of notice letters to potentially impacted individuals and submits notifications to State Attorney Generals and other regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to applicable federal and state statutes.
Additionally, Juliana composes detailed client reports documenting incidents and resolutions. She also monitors dockets and conducts legal research to support the firm’s objectives.
Juliana is a 2024 graduate from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Before enrolling in law school, Juliana was a Data Privacy and Research Assistant at Jennifer Beckage’s previously founded firm. While enrolled and before joining The Beckage Firm, Juliana was a Civil Litigation Law Clerk at a well-known and reputable firm based in Buffalo, New York, and a legal extern at a global AM Law 100 corporate law firm, and government enforcement agency, both located in New York City. Juliana has extensively researched the implications of Artificial Intelligence on the financial services industry, performed confidential legal and factual research and prepared work product in support of on-going and proposed investigations and litigation under New York State’s Martin Act and other anti-fraud statutes, and has helped lead incident response that resulted in the full recovery of funds.
Through her professional opportunities, Juliana has experience in guiding clients through the complexities of data incidents, regulatory compliance, and crisis management. She has also helped companies draft their privacy policies, cookie disclosures, terms of use, ADA accessibility statements, and noted where “Just in Time” disclosures were necessary so that businesses were compliant with laws in their jurisdictions.
