The ICS/SCADA Cybersecurity Symposium, happening June 3–4, 2025, in Chicago, is designed to help operators of critical infrastructure navigate the rising threats targeting industrial control systems (ICS). With cyber attacks growing in scale and sophistication—especially from advanced persistent threat (APT) actors—organizations in sectors such as energy, transportation, water treatment, and healthcare are under pressure to strengthen both their IT and OT defenses. The event will feature in-depth discussions on the evolving threat landscape, including defense-in-depth strategies, risk assessment practices, regulatory compliance, and the integration of technologies like AI, deception tools, and centralized analytics.

The Beckage Firm is proud to participate in this year’s symposium. Our SVP of Security and Technology, Scott Morris, will moderate a panel titled Risk Management Business Case, focusing on the legal and financial impact of data breaches in ICS/SCADA environments. Panelists will examine how vulnerabilities in these systems can lead to costly regulatory penalties, litigation, and damage to reputation. Using real-world scenarios and existing regulatory models, the discussion will explore how organizations can measure potential risks and make the case for investing in stronger cybersecurity measures.
